About "Origami crane by mail" project.
What is origami?
Origami is japanese word ori+kami = paper+fold. Some people think that paper folding
is for kids, but real origami is an art, science (math) and even some kind of meditation.

How to fold origami crane?
It's not so difficult to fold origami crane. You just need to practice a few times and will get not bad crane :) Some people even gets almost perfect origami crane from the first time. Here's a movie:
What is "Origami by mail" project?
The idea is simple - choose paper from paper pattern gallery and send me simple mail:

Put inside envelope with postal stamp addresed to yourself (or your friend which would get surprise) and write paper pattern code.
Ofcourse, you can write me some greetings or what ever whats on your mind at the moment.
I'll fold you a crane and mail it to you (or your friend if 2nd mail is adressed to friend).
You'll have a crane, which will decorate your shelf or will be a great gift to friend.
It deppends on your fantazy ;)

Why am I doing that?
Origami crane - sign of peace, I like to fold cranes. I've allready folded lots of cranes, but never counted how many. Usually I give my cranes to friends, now you can have one! There is ancient Japanese legend which promises that anyone who folds a thousand origami cranes will be granted a wish. Maybe my secret wish wil become to true with your help ;)
So my aim is to fold 1000 cranes and send to 1000 people around the world. Maybe I even won't stop after a thousand, maybe you won't let me to stop and number in main page will increase after 1000? Nobody can guess the future ;)
How much does it cost?
I'll fold crane for free. You only need to cover postal expenses (I'll get envelope with postal stamp from you). You need to know, that Lithuania is in European Union, so check the prices in your postal office. Ofcourse, it costs for me paper, pattern printing and paper cutting, web hosting and so on. I'm accepting donations.
P.S.
Old good mail is not perfect, sometimes mail goes back or been lost somwhere in postal offices. I cannot guarantee 100% crane delivery. Sorry.
